Sophie Holmes

she/her is a dancer, performer and interdisciplinary artist.  She works with space awareness, post-modern/”avant-garde” movement practices combined with ensemble training to create new experimental, experiential performance art.  She has worked and performed with the LEIMAY Ensemble, the Metamundo Ensemble and traveled the US and Germany engaging in workshops and with art communities.  She performed her own work fragment in 2021-2022 in conjunction with The Incubator Program at LEIMAY in Brooklyn, NY.  In 2023 she was a resident at LAKE STUDIOS BERLIN, developing and performing SHAPES, a body based digital performance/projection piece.  She has a BFA in Performance from Naropa University and currently resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Ute, Cheyenne and Arapaho people, known as Boulder, CO.
